Mora Clock Details

This is a charming vintage Swedish Mora clock from the 1960s, retaining its original off-white colour with soft pink highlighting — a rare pastel colourway that sets it apart from the cream, white, and grey finishes more typical of Mora clocks. Light and elegant, it brings a gentle, romantic touch to a bedroom, dressing room, nursery, or any soft-toned Scandinavian interior. It's a genuine mid-20th-century example of the Swedish longcase clock, the Scandinavian counterpart to the grandfather clock, and a more accessible alternative to an 18th- or 19th-century antique.

The clock retains a working longcase movement with pendulum and two weights, striking a bell chime on the hour. It is a traditional 7-day mechanism, rewound once a week, with full set-up instructions included.

About this style of Mora Clock

Hand-finished by Swedish clockmakers in the Mora region of Dalarna, this longcase clock features a fully functional mechanical movement: a swinging pendulum, two suspended weights, and a bell chime that sounds on the hour. Its pastel palette gives the case a lighter, more elegant presence than darker traditional Mora clocks, making it a striking centrepiece for both period and contemporary interiors.

Mora Clock Set-Up

This off-white and pink colour variation is part of a smaller group of mid-20th-century Mora clocks that moved away from the heavily painted florals of earlier craftsmen toward softer, more minimalist case finishes — appealing to collectors seeking a subtler antique statement piece. Comes complete with setup instructions: hang the weights, attach the pendulum, and give it a gentle swing to start the 7-day mechanism (rewind weekly). Currently in stock and ready to ship, with custom-crated, fully insured door-to-door delivery available to the USA.
