Antique Swedish Mora Clock in natural colours. This style of Mora clock is typical of the classic style of Swedish Mora clock and has been hand painted in off-white/cream with additional gold detailing around the rim of the body and the rim of the face of this clock.
The hood of this clock is rounded and does not have a crown.
This Mora clock dates from around 1800's and we believe the paint work on this clock is original.
This Mora Clock has its original works, two cast iron weights and pendulum. The face has been marked with arabic numerals and the clockmaker has added his name and the place where the clock was made. The inside of the clock has been painted in an earthy tone of red and provides a striking appearance when the door for the clock is opened. Continuing with this theme the back of the clock has the remains of the clocks original powder blue paint colour.
The mechanism is 7 - 8 days and should be rewound before the end of this period with the original winding handle that ships with this clock.
